BREAKING UPDATE: Police say a 21-year-old man has died and a 19-year-old woman remains in critical condition after a shooting in Chandler yesterday.
CHANDLER, AZ — One person has died and another remains in critical condition after a shooting in Chandler Wednesday.When police arrived on the scene, two people were located with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to local hospitals with"serious, life-threatening" injuries.
Police conducted a search of the area for two suspects. The suspects, two men, were eventually located in a nearby neighborhood. They were found as they were attempting to enter a home, where an assault occurred, according to Chandler police.Both suspects were then apprehended by police, one of whom was taken to a hospital.
"She took a while to answer. When she did answer, he ran back to the apartments and said, 'call 911 because I've got two people dying in my apartment,'" said Huerta.
