One man died and one was hospitalized in a shooting early Wednesday outside a northwest Houston convenience store, Houston police officials said. Two men were standing in a convenience store parking lot around midnight at 1920 Wirt Road, when a car pulled up to the convenience store and two men got out, Lt. Ronnie Willkens told On Scene reporters. They started attacking one of the men who had been standing in the parking lot.Accused Cleveland mass shooter's wife arrested, accused of helping him elude capture for days
The man who was standing outside the store, but not getting beat up, pulled out a gun and started shooting at the two attackers, Willkens said. He shot both of them. One of the men who got shot died and the other drove himself to the hospital. The shooter and the man who was attacked, both fled on foot. As of early Wednesday police had not tracked them down.
