Sheriff’s deputies were investigating after an auto-pedestrian crash near Interstate 45 in Harris County that led to the death of one man, officials said.
Deputies around 10:45 p.m. Monday responded to FM 1960, not far from Interstate 45, where they found a man on the ground, with several cars stopped near him, officials told On Scene reporters. First responders took the man to a nearby trauma center, where he died. Witnesses told investigators a woman, with children in her vehicle, was driving along that stretch or road when a man tried to run across the road ahead of her, officials said. She remained at the scene, spoke to detectives and showed no signs of intoxication.
