Delaware County Prosecutor Eric Hoffman released the following statement following the shooting that killed one man and injured nearly 20 others early Sunday morning.
DELAWARE COUNTY — One man was killed and nearly 20 others were injured in a shooting at a house party in Muncie overnight.
"Due to the number of victims and nature of the incident, multiple agencies were contacted to assist," Muncie Police Department said. Muncie Police confirmed that a 30-year-old man was killed during the shooting and multiple others were injured.IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital representative Neil Gifford confirmed to ABC News that 19 patients were brought to the the Muncie ER from the overnight shooting. Four victims were airlifted to other hospitals. A total of 13 were admitted to the hospital.Police said there is no ongoing threat to the public and an investigation is ongoing.
