Like the first two seasons, Wheel of Time season 3 is in position to pair off several of its characters for some exciting adventures from the books.

Though season 1 started out with a full bunch, it didn’t take long for the show to create branching storylines, allowing smaller groups of characters to experience thier own adventures in The Wheel of Time’s world. And while season 2’s ending reunited the full group, another split should occur when the show returns.
9 Nynaeve, Elayne, & Thom Thom, who hasn’t appeared since season 1, should be back for season 3. In The Shadow Rising, the gleeman resurfaces in the storyline given to Nynaeve and Elayne. In the book, Thom helped the pair find the Black Ajah in Tanchico. Neither has a reason to go there as of yet, but the exposure of the Black Ajah in season 2 and Liandrin’s betrayal could be what puts that move in motion.
6 Perrin, Verin, & Alanna Another surprising team-up to watch out for in The Wheel of Time is the one that Perrin shares with Alanna Mosvani and Verin Mathwin. In The Shadow Rising, Perrin heads back to the Two Rivers to save his friends and family and has a rendezvous with the two Aes Sedai, who are in the village to look for young girls capable of becoming novices.
Logain could be along for this ride as well. In the books, Logain was offered an opportunity to get revenge on the Aes Sedai by the very person responsible for the loss of his powers. At the end of The Shadow Rising, Logain agreed to join forces with Siuan, prompting the two to travel together in the following book, The Fires of Heaven. But even though this is technically a book 5 story, it could happen sooner rather than later, considering that the show is so close to Siuan’s downfall.
