The Bulls fell to 0-16 against the top three seeds in each conference with Tuesday’s 126-98 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Bulls’ reserves outscored 33-16 in pre-garbage time minutes, which began at the 4:28 mark of the fourth quarter with the Bucks up by 29. And while White and Dosunmu project to form a potent backup backcourt, they specifically struggled against the veteran-laden Bucks.
Dosunmu, meanwhile, was shooting 2-for-6 at pre-garbage time, and with a minus-33 plus-minus, was the only Bull worse than White’s minus-23.The Bulls closed the first half on a 10-0 run to cut a 59-33 deficit to 59-43, then trimmed to as few as 10 early in the third quarter. The second half brought some salvation, as DeRozan finished 10-for-23. But the majority of those buckets came with the game out of reach. And, for the first time this season, he ended a game without attempting a free throw. And it didn't help that the Bulls allowed the Bucks to shoot 61 percent. It's more difficult to run off of made baskets.The defeat also drops the Bulls’ road record for the season to 16-20, compared to a gaudy 26-10 mark at home. Caruso doesn’t see that as a coincidence.
