Insider's new series,"The State of Our Money," looks at the financial health of Americans. Insider teamed up with Morning Consult to survey more than 2,000 Americans and found some financial pain points among millennials and Gen X, in particular. More than half of the millennial respondents said they don't have a retirement savings account. Of those who do have a retirement account, at work or otherwise, 12% aren't actively contributing to it.
