12 monsters from Toho's Godzilla franchise could secretly already exist somewhere in the MonsterVerse. Here's who they are and where they could be.
12 monsters from Toho’s kaiju library may secretly exist as Titans in Godzilla’s MonsterVerse. Thanks in large part to the sheer number of installments in the Godzilla franchise, there’s no shortage of kaiju who could theoretically make appearances in Legendary’s movies. However, the MonsterVerse has only used a fraction of Toho’s Godzilla kaiju.
10 Gorosaurus Based on the real-life allosaurus, Gorosaurus is a dinosaur kaiju and the only monster to have encountered both Godzilla and Kong in Toho’s movies. After battling King Kong in King Kong Escapes, Gorosaurus returned as an ally to Godzilla in Destroy All Monsters where he participated in the fight against King Ghidorah. If translated to the MonsterVerse, Gorosaurus could be introduced as the MonsterVerse’s first, true dinosaur Titan.
6 Megalon In Godzilla vs. Megalon, the King of the Monsters was pitted against Megalon, a cockroach-like monster with drills for hands. In the movie, it was explained that Megalon is the champion of Seatopia, a civilization hidden deep underground. Looking at the direction the MonsterVerse is currently headed with the Hollow Earth concept, it no longer feels unrealistic that a place like Seatopia is a real location that could be visited in future movies. If so, Megalon could be around as well.
