The Wednesday evening crash took place on the Carlisle Pike in Hampden Township, police said.
The 13-year-old was with two other boys when the crash happened around 7:53 p.m. on the 6300 block of the Carlisle Pike, according to Hampden Township police.Police said the 13-year-old was taken to Holy Spirit Hospital and pronounced dead. He has not been publicly identified as of Thursday morning.
The driver who hit the boy stayed at the scene afterward and is cooperating with the investigation, police said. Hampden Township and Silver Spring Township police are investigating. Police are asking anyone who saw the crash to call Hampden Township police at 717-761-2609.
