Ever since Hawkins, Indiana became the gateway to the Upside Down and the playground of all its most formidable creatures, fans have watched as superhuman Eleven and her motley crew of friends have tried to keep the forces of darkness from spreading.
13 Murray Prior to being pulled into the sordid supernatural things happening in Hawkins, Murray could simply be a conspiracy theorist without knowing the real truth behind the Upside Down. After being dragged along on all sorts of wild adventures with Hopper and Joyce, however, he's become one of the favorite of the adult characters after braving the Russian tundra to save Hopper, and checking in on Joyce and the kids in California with a risotto recipe at the ready.
10 Lucas Lucas found his loyalties tested in season 4 between the jocks and his friends, but after what he went through to protect Eddie from Jason, Max from Vecna, and everything he's done to keep Hawkins safe, Lucas deserves to come out like the MVP that he is. It might be too late to tell Lucas's story in Stranger Things, and he often seems like the least well-utilized of the cast despite being the most level-headed and pragmatic.
6 Will Stranger Things began with Will's abduction and ever since his experiences in the Upside Down, Will has never been quite the same. As his friends have all paired off and he's remained isolated, he's struggled with compartmentalizing and keeping things to himself, from how much the connection to the Mind Flayer has really affected him to Will coming out as gay to his friends.
