Six models of GE French-door refrigerators are being recalled, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
recalledThe recall affects roughly 155,000 refrigerators in the U.S. that were manufactured between February 2020 and August 2021.from the CPSC states that the freezer handle on the recalled units can detach when consumers try to open the freezer drawer, which poses a fall hazard.
So far, there have been 71 reports of the freezer drawer handle detaching, resulting in 37 reported injuries, including three serious fall injuries, according to the CPSC.
