Garland police said Friday they obtained warrants for Natalie Navarro, 17, and Yordy Martinez, 21, on murder charges. The department did not say how police connected them to the slaying.was issued by Dallas police early Friday, and Martinez was identified as the suspect in the alert. According to authorities, Navarro was last seen in Far East Dallas at 2:15 p.m. Thursday and was located about 4 a.m. Friday.
Garland police said Friday afternoon that Navarro is “currently safe and in custody” and was being transported to the Garland jail. It wasn’t immediately clear whether she has an attorney. Martinez is still at large, police said. He was described by authorities as a Hispanic man who is 5-7 and about 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He also goes by “Jordy” and is missing one of his front teeth.
