There are a number of banned items from the venues hosting the UCI Cycling World Championships
There are a number of events taking place across Glasgow and the rest of Scotland as part of the UCI Cycling World Championships.
Around eight thousand elite and amateur cyclists, including para-athletes, are taking part in the competitions, representing more than 120 countries. In addition to this, more than 200 world champions are taking part and due to it being such a large-scale event, many people will be wanting to see records being broken, and of course, history being made.So, if you want to head along and watch the events away from your screens, you will want to ensure you know which items you can and cannot take with you.
Restricted items and actions during the Glasgow UCI Cycling World Championships 2023 What items are banned from the Chris Hoy Velodrome? Events are taking place in the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, and according to Glasgow Life, several items have been banned. They warn visitors that "searching is a condition of entry to protect your safety and that of other visitors. We may conduct security searches of clothing, bags and other items, as determined by us in our reasonable discretion, including on entry and exit."
