19-year-old man shot in neck near Spring Valley park [Breaking]
A 19-year-old man sitting in a vehicle was shot in the neck near a park in Spring Valley on Sunday afternoon, a sheriff’s official said.
After the shooting, the teen showed up to a Carl’s Jr. fast-food restaurant on Kenora Drive near Kenwood Drive in Casa de Oro about 2:15 p.m. Paramedics took him to a hospital for treatment. He was expected to recover, Lt. David Collins said. Deputies determined the shooting occurred about a mile away on Kenwood Drive near Bancroft County Park, Collins said. The victim was sitting in a vehicle when he was shot, the lieutenant said.
