The two suspects, a 57-year-old man from West Virginia and a 43-year-old Cleveland woman, were injured in the crash during the pursuit.
PARMA, Ohio — A man and woman reportedly in a stolen vehicle crashed into two other vehicles during a short chase Tuesday with police, sending both of them to the hospital.
According to police, the driver of the stolen vehicle, a 57-year-old man from West Virginia, and a passenger, a 43-year-old Cleveland woman, were spotted by Parma officers at about 3:44 p.m. on the 5700 block of Broadview Road. The vehicle had been reported stolen Monday in Cleveland. When police tried to stop the vehicle, it sped off north on Broadview Road and went into Cleveland. The vehicle went through a red light at the intersection of Broadview Road and Tampa Avenue, colliding with two other vehicles before then hitting a utility pole just over a minute after the chase started.
