Five years after the debut of the Audi Q8, it was time for a mid-lifecycle update
Audi took the wraps off the facelifted Q8 at the IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich. The coupe SUV flagship gains mild visual updates focused on the lighting units, and new options for the colors and wheels alongside a technology boost in order to stay relevant and desirable at the top of the automaker’s food chain.
The facelifted Q8 remains instantly recognizable with designers taking an evolutionary approach in line with Audi’s strategy. The highlight is the new HD Matrix LED headlights with a laser working alongside the high beams, and digital DRLs creating different kinds of light signatures. The taillights have also received updated graphics with OLED technology.
The octagon Singleframe grille has also been redesigned with a new pattern featuring vertical slits on the standard Q8, or L-shaped accents on the S line package and the SQ8. The grille is flanked by the revised bumper intakes, highlighted by generously sized aluminum-style or black trim pieces. A fresh color palette and new options for the alloy wheels round up the visual enhancements.The 2024 Audi Q8 is already available to order starting from €86,700 in Germany.
