Make sure to read about the tide pool ecosystem in advance to ensure that your experience is fun and informative for the kids, while also being safe and respectful to the habitat. While you’re in La Jolla Cove, you can also stop by Sunny Jim’s Sea Cave, a nautical-themed shop with a secret entrance to a unique sea cave. Self-guided tours of the sea cave are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
