Every time I have had pool chemical imbalances, it has been a result of one or the other. The chlorine is an easy fix. The right balance on the pH and alkalinity sometimes takes some work to get it just right. In the meantime, the color and clarity of the water suffers. I do love this kit already. With the strips, there were often readings that were not exactly the right colors, so I'd have too much guesswork. I will never use another kit, I'm sure of it.
