Eccles Court House to be brought back into use
More than £2m is to be invested to improve town centres and parks as well as innovative small businesses in Salford over the next three years.
The money will be used to create two new arts, culture and heritage pots worth £475,000 to back community projects. Eccles Court House in Eccles Town Hall will also be brought back into community use.Meanwhile, facilities and programmes for local entrepreneurs who want to scale or build their business at HOST Salford – MediaCityUK’s innovation hub - will be improved.
“It will be spent on a rolling basis as activities and projects are approved. We’re looking forward to bringing our proposals to life for the benefit of local people and visitors to our vibrant city.” Applications for the community grants fund as part of the arts, culture and heritage went live on Friday and information about how to apply can be found on the Salford CVS website. The first closing date for applications is 12noon on Monday October 9.
