The victim has been identified as a 15-month-old boy, and his autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
Lancaster Bureau of Police said the shooting was reported around 7 p.m., at a home in the 500 block of Woodward Street. A baby had been shot in the face and was unable to be saved by first responders.
Lancaster County Deputy Coroner Eric Bieber has confirmed that the victim was a 15-month-old boy, but has not named the baby. Bieber said the baby’s autopsy is scheduled for Thursday. Witnesses and involved people have been identified and interviewed, police said, and the investigation is ongoing.Investigators do not have anyone in custody connected to the shooting, according to police.
