Osborne will have a pair of visits to Tuscaloosa in the coming weeks, including Alabama’s A-Day. It’ll round out a week of visits to other finalists as schools push for a player following a season with 74 tackles and 5.5 sacks. 247Sports Composite rankings have Osborne as the No. 113 player overall and 18th among defensive linemen. With his 6-foot-3, 250-pound frame, Osborne can project on the edge or inside at the three-technique, per the site’s recruiting director Steve Wiltfong. His versatility off the edge allows Osborne to stand out among a loaded in-state group in 2023, particularly in the front seven.
Of Alabama’s top-12 prospects, seven can stuff the run and rush the pocket. Carver-Montgomery’s James Smith leads the group with his speed at 6-foot-4, 310-pounds. is able to power past linemen with his agility as well. The overlap is apparent among their offers and as recruitment continues expect more blue-chip trench coaches to stop by Friday nights.
