Storm Bert will blast the region this weekend and poses a 'danger to life'
A huge 431-mile snow bomb will smash into the UK over the coming days with the forecasters warning of a "danger to life".
The warning states: "Showers are expected to become more frequent during the afternoon and evening, feeding south across Northern Ireland and turning to snow above 150m. Some places could see 2-5cm of fresh snow, with a further 10cm over mountain tops. Jim Dale, a weather expert from British Weather Services, told Express.co.uk: "Saturday is going to be a really difficult day. Rain is possible for most of England and Wales. However, in areas like Penines and Snowdania, the rain will convert into snow and then sleet.
