Kyle Shanahan said of Deebo Samuel’s with the 49ers: ‘Hopefully we can work this out and someday it will clear up for you guys.’
SANTA CLARA — Coach Kyle Shanahan didn’t indicate Friday that the 49ers are nearing a peace accord or a contract extension with disgruntled wide receiver Deebo Samuel.
Here are the Samuel-related excerpts in Shanahan’s first public comments regarding Samuel, who hasn’t been quoted on the record about his specific motives or displeasure: “It’s part of the business. There are certain things people have to go through, certain things everyone is trying to get and do. You see what you can and work from there. You can work out anything. Hopefully when it’s all said and done, we’ll get the best thing for the Niners, the best for Deebo and hopefully that’s the same thing, because we’d love to keep going how we’ve been.“I could sit here and talk what we said for a long time, which I’m not going to do.
