: 64% supported state and local government requirements to wear the masks in public places, while 69% supported schools requiring them for students and staff, and 63% put their mask where their mouth is and wear one “at least sometimes” in public, according to an Axios-Ipsos poll released Tuesday.

The approval could boost the vaccination campaign by convincing more unvaccinated Americans that Pfizer's shot is safe and effective and also make local officials more comfortable in implementing vaccine mandates. The U.S. military is expected to require that service members get vaccinated soon after Pfizer's shot is authorized and other major U.S. employers could follow suit.
