Manchester City have done good business in the transfer window but Pep Guardiola will want one more signing before Friday's 11pm deadline.
Manchester City have tended not to do major business in the final days of a transfer window but will hope to buck that trend this year.
Ilkay Gundogan joined Barcelona on a free transfer upon the expiry of his contract, while Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte both went to Saudi Arabia, joining Al-Ahli and Al-Nassr respectively. Bernardo Silva and Kyle Walker were both tipped to leave as well, but opted to stay in Manchester with the former signing a two-year contract extension last week.
The Blues will enter crunch talks with Wolves as they aim to trash out a deal in the final days of the window. Gary O'Neil's side will hold firm on their valuation - believed to be around £60m - citing a lack of time to source a replacement. James McAtee was the subject of Wolves' interest earlier this summer and could be sent out on loan again, following an excellent year in the Championship with Sheffield United. Tommy Doyle was also at Bramall Lane for the Blades' promotion push and has admirers at Molineux.
