An 85-year-old Lehi man was arrested after police say he admitted to killing his wife on Friday, Oct. 6, 2023.An 85-year-old Lehi man who told officers he was “frustrated” with his wife admitted he brutally beat and strangled her to death, according to police.
The husband was also “covered in blood” and uttered that he had killed her, according to a probable cause statement. As he was loaded into an ambulance, he saw members of his wife’s family and also “yelled to them” that he had killed her, police said. A Lehi detective wrote in the probable cause statement that when he asked the man what he meant by that, the man “smirked and stated that he had killed her” by “strangling … punching … and stomping on her,” the document states.
