Actress Shannen Doherty, famed for starring in Beverley Hills 90210 and Charmed, has tragically passed away at the age of 53 following a lengthy battle with cancer
90210 star Shannen Doherty has passed away aged 53 following a lengthy battle with cancer. The actress' death was confirmed by her publicist on 13 July in a sad statement.
"The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie. The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace," the emotional statement read. Shannen was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. She later revealed she had gone into remission but the cancer then returned. In 2020, Shannen sadly announced she had stage four breast cancer.
Earlier this year, Shannen admitted she'd began trying to get things sorted out "just in case" anything happened to her. On her Let's Be Clear podcast, Shannen revealed that she was downsizing her house and donating and selling her antiques.
