An incoming cold front is expected to keep the temperatures in the 40s on Saturday with the possibility of rain.is on its way to San Antonio and will bring with it a good chance for high temperatures that will struggle to get out of the 40s.

There is a 30 percent chance for showers, mainly after noon, with a high near 53 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in New Braunfels. The weather service said the best chance for rain is Saturday when the cold front moves in, and the low is expected to be about 42. The high is forecast to be 47 on Saturday and 50 on Sunday. With few exceptions, the Hill Country is not likely to reach freezing temperatures over the weekend, Oaks said. “Air flows are pushing air from north Canada straight down, continuously sending us reinforcing high pressure surges or weak to moderate cold fronts,” Oaks said. “One after another, we’re getting a resupply of cold air. We expect it to pull away from that into the end of next week.”
