Schoolboy Eric Lin was tragically found dead aged just 14, days after going missing in Manchester
Clutching onto balloons and lighting candles, hundreds turned out to remember a 'smart, talented and loving' teenager whose life ended far too soon.
A week after his death, on Thursday evening , crowds came out in their hundreds to mourn the loss of Eric, who was a student at the Co-op Academy in Failsworth and described as having a 'big heart and a cheeky smile'. And as Eric's heartbroken family arrived at the candlelit vigil, they were met with a roaring applause from the hundreds who had turned out to show their unwavering support of a family.
"Not every single person here can give this family a hug and tell them how much we grieve for them and how sorry we are for them, but this coming together tonight, is that hug."
