A Florida man spent $49,285.70 at a Costco in Jacksonville on Wednesday for 100 generators and other household goods to be shipped to the Bahamas following the destruction from Hurricane Dorian, CNN reported.

Thurston also posted pictures on Facebook of chainsaws loaded in the bed of a pickup truck as part of the shipment.
The US military is also assisting in the Bahamas. It said that four US Marine Corps MV-22 Ospreys transported a team to conduct logistical assessments for nongovernmental organizations and that the Coast Guard was dispatched to help with search-and-rescue efforts.
