The suspected shooter has been charged with attempted homicide.
Gettysburg police said the man was shot during an argument around 11:53 p.m. May 10 in the Gilliland Alley area, near the Lincoln Diner.
An argument ensued, and the man who was shot ran away as Brown started shooting at him with a handgun, the affidavit said. The man said he felt multiple bullets hit him. Police said they found him standing on the first block of York Street, bleeding from a gunshot wound to his right hip. The day after the shooting, police said they visited the man who was shot at a York-area hospital. According to the affidavit, the man was shown a photo of Brown and identified him as the shooter.
