A new meteor shower might be visible from parts of San Diego County Monday night [Breaking]
there is a chance that people in Southern California will be able to see a new meteor shower emerge on Monday night, with peak viewing occurring around 10 p.m.
The space agency says that pieces of Comet 73P/Schwassman-Wachmann 3 will strike Earth’s atmosphere and produce fleeting flashes of light. NASA also said it is possible that the meteor shower — known as the tau Herculids — will not be visible. Astronomers describe this as a “hit or miss” event visually.
