New Jersey played a pivotal role in our nation’s Revolutionary War and Trenton should do its part to give the Garden State and the Princeton Battlefield the recognition it deserves.

Andrew Zwicker is leading the charge to pass a budget resolution in Trenton , which directs $1.5 million in state funds to be used to both interpret and restore the Princeton Battlefield State Park.As a history buff and lifelong resident of beautiful Princeton, New Jersey, I am no stranger to the Princeton Battlefield State Park.
I’m delighted by the news that state Sen. Andrew Zwicker is leading the charge to pass a budget resolution in Trenton , which directs $1.5 million in state funds to be used to both interpret and restore the Princeton Battlefield State Park. This rehabilitation will include recapturing historic road traces, woodlots and fence lines, plantings, a new park entrance drive and parking area, and removing non-historic features from the park’s historic core. It is very exciting to hear that this battlefield I have been visiting for so many years will now look much closer to how it once did on the day of the battle.
