One woman reveals how a magnetic attraction to her boss ended badly for both of them
Becky*, 31, began working with Adam, a 42-year-old high-flier at a leading IT company, two years ago. Though she couldn't have known that anything would end up happening, she felt a magnetic attraction to him from the start.When Becky started her new job, she was immediately drawn to her new boss.
And Becky, who 'basically ran his life' while he was at work, had intimate access to all his appointments, diary dates and even travelled abroad with him on business trips. 'Six months after joining we had to go to a business conference in Brussels over two nights,' she continues. 'On the first night, there was a boozy reception and we ended up going to a nightclub with a group of colleagues from abroad.'When we got back to our hotel, I went up alone to my room but there was a knock on my door ten minutes later. I knew it was Adam.'
But their romance in Brussels was short-lived, as almost immediately after the pair's one-night stand, Adam turned cold and stressed that he just wanted to be 'work colleagues'.Related Story'I was prepared to put it behind us but Adam’s whole attitude towards me changed.
