Why Barbie's Reviews Are Mostly Positive Warner Bros. did a great job marketing Barbie leading up to its release. The snippets used on the trailers themselves are more than enough to pique the interest of many. It also helped that many of their promotional efforts went on to become viral, making sure that the general audiences knew that the movie was coming out. Between that and the recognized Mattel brand, Warner Bros. didn't have a difficult job selling the film to the public.
