WeddingFiles: Chelsea Leibow and Mike Farrell's wedding was postponed several times. They finally tied the knot on a weekday in August 2022, in Coxsackie, New York. The pair and their 100 guests found the 'nightmare' planning process worth it in the end
. They’re incredible. I did not leave the dance floor. There were some people who I didn’t see all night, but that was because they weren’t dancing and I was firmly planted.I specifically told them, “I don’t want to hear anything that came out later than 2016.” They did an awesome arrangement of “Dancing in the Dark” by Bruce, which was appropriate because Chelsea and I were about to move to New Jersey. A horn section gets people going. It’s a thing you can’t ignore.
Though they wanted to have their wedding upstate, Chelsea and Mike didn’t want a farm vibe. Gather Greene’s chic, raw space was perfect.After getting ready separately, the couple shared a first look. Chelsea’s dress is by Studio Levana, and Mike’s tux is by The Black Tux.After three years of planning, two postponements, and an elopement, they were thrilled to finally hold a celebration with family and friends .
It was “our community, the people who helped us become the couple that we are — that was really important to celebrate,” Chelsea says.The cocktail-hour offerings included port and tonics, and blackberry-infused Moscow Mules.For food, there was peel-and-eat shrimp, buffalo chicken bites, steak crostini, and smoked trout on crackers.The couple focused on the guest experience throughout the planning process, and felt it was important that folks knew where to go and when.
Live music was another priority, and the couple chose the Silver Arrow Band. “A horn section gets people going. The bra belonged to a bridesmaid who ripped if off on the dance floor, after which it was passed around all night.
