In order to be spared of the death penalty, Joseph James DeAngelo Jr., 74, accused of being the “Golden State Killer,” has pleaded guilty to 13 counts of first-degree murder, among other charges, and will spend the rest of his life in prison without parole....
Due to social distance and the fact that the audience includes 150 Golden State Killer victims and families, DeAngelo’s hearing is being held at a Sacramento State University ballroom.
