How is it, for instance, that the Bulldogs’ electric playmaker is off to such an incredible start to the season, averaging 23.1 points per game on 52 percent shooting to go with four rebounds, four steals and two assists per game?That’s alright. So, does she see herself as a scorer first? Does she have a pass-first mentality?“All of that,” Rowan said. “I do it all. I don’t know how to explain it.”
That happened around the start of district play. Rowan started off and on from then but won back the spot, for good, the start of her sophomore season. She’s never let up since. While Rowan admitted she is a bit taken aback by this season’s fast start — twice breaking her single-game scoring best, with 31 points twice against Bryan and Willis, respectively, and then 34 against Burton on Nov. 19 — she’s not surprised.
