While the charismatic Brazilian is always thinking about winning the Indianapolis 500 for a record fifth time, he has his sights set on another victory Sunday
Helio Castroneves began to smile as he was reminded of the time his father, Helio, used to sneak him into a race track in his native Brazil when he was just 6.

She was sort of like, ‘I don’t want to be here.’ And I noticed that. I was like, ‘Let’s get on our knees and kiss the bricks.’ She’s like, ‘I’m not going to kiss the bricks. It’s dirty.’”“So I got on my knees and I was like, ‘Look.
The first three Indy 500 wins were with Team Penske, the most recent one was for Meyer Shank Racing, his current team. His first two were in 2001 and 2002.“My fear is they are taking something away from me, which is racing,” he said. “That was my fear. I didn’t care about all the rest of it. I was just like, ‘I’m not going to race anymore; I can’t do it.’ We were able to, obviously, prove that .”“Man, if things had gone the other way, everything would have been different,” Castroneves said.
