The striker is wanted back in Glasgow by Brendan Rodgers and is with his parent club on their pre-season tour
But if Norwich City boss Johannes Hoff Thorup is to get his way, it would appear that it could be a much harder task than first thought. The Republic of Ireland cap is currently with his parent club in Belgium for their pre-season camp and he was part of the team that faced Club Brugge in a friendly on Wednesday. He played just 33 minutes before being subbed off in the 3-0 defeat but it was all part of the plan for the 23-year-old.
Speaking after the defeat to Brugge, the Norwich boss said: “Good to see him back. He’s been a part of the group now for a little bit more than a week. I’ve had a couple of sessions with the boys and it's important for us to get him started. Speaking to the Pinkun, he added: "Like I said at the beginning of pre-season, we consider Adam as an important player for us so that's why he got 30 minutes today which was important for him to get started and get back in the rhythm, nice and easy. He's had more or less one full training week so that's why we were pretty sure that it would only be half an hour today.
