Afghan government appeals to Taliban to allow rescue teams into the mountainous area of northern Nuristan province where flash floods, according to insurgents, killed 150 people and destroyed at least 100 homes

Afghan villagers are searching for missing people after torrential rains overwhelmed Kamdesh district in Nuristan province.
