African royalty touchdown in Jamaica to discuss reparations by LeahMahon_

AFRICAN ROYALS have landed in Jamaica this week to hold discussions about how the trans-Atalantic slave trade has affected the continent. Speaking at the Reparations Forum in Grenada, the Vice-Chancellor of the UWI Sir Hilary Beckles said the arrival of the seven kings and eight queens would continue discussions that started with the Trevelyans’ apology for their ancestors’ role in slavery.

Tanyi, Ambassador Ireno Omositson Namboka, Queen Cynthia Khumalo Mzilikazi III, and Princess Dr Nikiwe Bam were just some of the royal guests who arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston. He added: “We have come to assure the Jamaicans that they are Africans, we are Africans. There is nothing different between you and me and we just wish the differences that have kept us away would finally find a place to rest and we continue as brothers and sisters.”
