Jeniya Bowers and Natiah Nelson each had 17 points for the Nubians , who won the program’s eighth championship and first since 2019. Ashtan Winfrey had 14 points and Samariah Thompson added 13 points and 11 rebounds. Chippewa pulled into a 9-all tie before the Nubians ripped off a 7-0 run in less than a minute. Winfrey made a 3 and Bowers scored on consecutive layups, the second off a steal.
