Pictures from Sunday morning show burnt out debris from a huge fire in the residential area the night before, reports Edinburgh Live. Edinburgh saw scenes of pandemonium across Niddrie, Pilton, Sighthill and other areas. Niddrie became locked down by police shortly after 10pm due to 100 masked youths launching fireworks at cars and the emergency services attending the scene.
“However, in some areas, particularly Edinburgh, various individuals have shown blatant disregard for the safety of the public and the emergency services and have actively targeted police officers and firefighters during the course of their duties.
