Temuera Morrison is reportedly joining the Ahsoka cast of Lucasfilm's newest Disney+ series starring Rosario Dawson.
Should his addition to the Ahsoka cast be made official, Morrison would finally be playing the live-action version of Star Wars: The Clone Wars character Captain Rex, who was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker. He is one of the few clones that were able to resist the infamous Order 66 after Ahsoka removed his inhibitor chip. Besides The Clone Wars, Captain Rex also appeared in other animated shows, including Rebels and The Bad Batch.
“Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy,” reads the official description of theAhsoka is written by Dave Filoni, who is executive producing along with Jon Favreau and Kathleen Kennedy. After making her live-action debut in The Mandalorian, Rosario Dawson is reprising her role as the titular Jedi.
