Emergency services descended on the car park this afternoon
Emergency services descended on the Tesco car park this afternoon when the crash occurred. Police remain at the scene with the patient still receiving medical attention.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area, while witnesses have reported seeing an air ambulance land in the town centre and then take off again.A police spokesperson said: "We are currently at the scene of a collision which occurred on the car park at Tesco on Wyre Street, Padiham. A car is believed to have collided with a pedestrian, who is now receiving first aid at the scene.
"We ask motorists to avoid the area for now. Anybody who saw what happened is asked to contact us on 101, quoting log 993 of September 13th."
