Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe discussed his love for Vince Young ahead of the Crimson Tide's matchup with Texas.
“Yeah,” Milroe said, following the one-word answer with a laugh.
Milroe, who shared the SEC’s offensive player of the week award for his efforts against MTSU, was also asked if he had owned a Vince Young jersey growing up. That was a yes as well.On Monday, Alabama’s starting quarterback, a Katy, Tx. native, dove more into his love for the Longhorn legend. Milroe had a chance to follow in Young’s footsteps as a Houston-area quarterback for Texas. He initially committed to the Longhorns as a four-star prospect out of Tompkins High School.
“During the recruitment, Alabama was one of the schools that I wanted to go to,” Milroe said of Sarkisian and Banks. “They were coaches that were here throughout my recruiting process. They’re great guys, great coaches. They recruited me here, but I love the team that we have and the coaches that we have here now.”
