An Alabama man pleaded guilty Wednesday to two criminal charges for his role in the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. The U.S. Army combat veteran and businessman was charged with seditious conspiracy and obstruction of an official proceeding.

In the 13 months since Jan. 6, 2021, more than 750 individuals have been arrested in nearly all 50 states for crimes related to the breach of the U.S. Capitol, including over 235 individuals charged with assaulting or impeding law enforcement. The investigation is ongoing.

James was pictured standing with other Oath Keepers, including Kelly Meggs, the self-proclaimed leader of the Florida Oath Keepers who was also charged with storming the Capitol, the FBI agent claimed. The cell phone records pinged James’ location inside the Capitol building during the riots while public photos and videos showed a man matching the photos on James’ social media accounts, according to the agent.
