Sgt. Jeremy Burkett of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the incident happened at about 8:35 a.m. Friday on Alabama 9 near the 151 mile marker, approximately 6 miles west of Alexander City. Savannah Y. Gilbert, 22, was driving a 2023 Hyundai Elantra that collided head-on with the 2010 Mercedes-Benz, driven by Gary T. Ledwell, 69, of Grapeland, Texas.Gary Ledwell and Nancy C.
