New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took part in a passionate education policy town hall this weekend, urging voters in Brooklyn not to fall into a “scarcity mindset” when it comes to college.
“My dad was born in the South Bronx while the Bronx was burning,” she explained. “He was raised five people in a one-bedroom apartment.
